As expected Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will hit Blu-ray in North America in the very near future sans the incredible Final Fantasy XIII PS3 demo from the Japanese version. Oh well, at least there's supposedly a brand new HD trailer included. Read on for the announcement. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the eagerly-awaited FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN COMPLETE on Blu-ray Disc June 2, 2009 for the SRP of $38.96. ADVENT CHILDREN COMPLETE represents Tetsuya Nomura's (FINAL FANTASY V - VIII, X, Kingdom Hearts series) director's cut of this award-winning CG-animated feature film adaptation of the best-selling video game by Square Enix Co., Ltd., which has already shipped 4.1 million copies in its original version. Re-rendered in high definition, ADVENT CHILDREN COMPLETE boasts 26 minutes of additional footage and over 1000 revised scenes, each of which was re-recorded with the original voice cast including Rachel Leigh Cook (Josie and the Pussycats) and Mena Suvari (American Beauty), and will be available only on Blu-ray Disc. The Blu-ray release will exclusively include "On the Way to a Smile – Episode: Denzel," a 25-minute original anime short film, telling the story of the character Denzel before the events of ADVENT CHILDREN; the new featurette "Reminiscence of FINAL FANTASY VII Compilation," a storyline digest which incorporates related footage from the video games; "Legacy of FINAL FANTASY VII," a new documentary featurette on the successful history of FINAL FANTASY VII; an exclusive first look at the FINAL FANTASY XIII video game; and more.
