This morning, according to a number of French gaming websites this morning (
Jeux-France,
PlayFrance), George Fornay, President of Sony Computer Entertainment France and Senior Vice-president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe may have let slip some of the first PlayStation 3 pricing details.
Apparently, during a radio interview with radio Europe 1, he made mention that the console will most likely cost in the 500 euro (~$615 U.S.) range. The Xbox 360 launched for 399 euros, for comparison purposes.
Whether or not this is confirmation is yet to be determined. We most likely won't find out for sure until the Tokyo Game Show, which takes place in September. Stay tuned.
