During the E3, SCEA announced that the PlayStation 3 would launch sometime in the Spring of 2006, at least in Japan. While the territories were not specified, many have been skeptical if either North America or Europe would actually get their hands on the console that early.

While not exactly concrete confirmation, just yesterday, Ubisoft released their 2004-2005 Earnings Report, which happened to include a Console Timeline. And not totally surprisingly, they had the PlayStation 3 listed as a Q3 2006 release in the U.S. and Europe. They also had the Xbox 360 listed as Q4 2005 (November?) for both territories, and the Nintendo Revolution listed as Q4 2006, but only for Europe. Take a look at the snapshot from the slideshow below.

Could there be some truth to Ubisoft’s timeline? We'll have to wait and see.

Thanks to mcdonnell from the GA Forums for the scoop.
