When the paparazzi in Lionhead Studios’ The Movies game shout, “Who are you wearing?” virtual stars will now respond, “John Malkovich, Uncle Kimono!” Activision, Inc. has signed a deal with the popular actor’s clothing company to have fashions from his “Uncle Kimono” Collection featured as downloadable costumes for outfitting the stars in The Movies, which is currently available in retail stores nationwide.

In January, players will be able to log on to www.themoviesgame.com, go to the Prop Shop and use virtual credits earned from creating and uploading movies to the web site to purchase John Malkovich “Uncle Kimono” outfits for their stars. Malkovich says the collection “has resonance of late 1950’s California beach boys, some Palm Springs Rat Pack, a touch of lounge lizards, and a recollection of a Swiss banker who’s been let go.” More information about Malkovich’s clothing line can be found at www.johnmalkovich.org.
