The N-Gage has been plagued with mobile game ports as of late, but the FPS Ashen is an exclusive title that will pump more action into the device. The storyline involves Jacob Ward. Jacob receives several scattered messages from his sister Vanessa Ward. Vanessa has mulled over years of research to summon a mythical city known as Maqabir. She, along with wealthy industrialist Charles Elizer are led to Seven River City. Through a ritual, Maqabir reemerges in present time and casts Seven River City into meteorological chaos and supernatural phenomena. Jacob has to tread through Seven River City to uncover the mystery behind Maqabir and his sister’s cryptic research. Ashen is a first person shooter that will take advantage of the N-Gage’s polygon capabilities. The initial video and screens display Psone-type textures at a near 30 frames per second. The enemies are shadow like demonic creatures that parade around in ruins and cathedral locations. Some will be invisible and require a ghost vision view to detect. The final product will include 8 single player maps, 9 weapons, Bluetooth multiplayer deathmatches, and global scoreboards. Check out the first screens below.
