Final Fantasy XI has been experiencing an enormous amount of success on the PC platform, garnering critical acclaim from even the most hardened EverQuest users. Square Enix is dipping its hand into the massively multiplayer online market once again, this time with the mech-themed Junk Metal. Square Enix has made no comment on Junk Metal seeing a US release, but that shouldn’t stop curious gamers checking into the Japanese public beta test. Game Watch reports registration begins on February 9, and users participating in the closed beta test will have an opportunity to transfer their characters over.
