Pitfall Harry returns for another round of jungle adventure in Pitfall: The Lost Expeditions. This latest iteration comes packed with all the trademark features found in the classic original game such as vine swinging over pits and jumping on the heads of crocodiles but also includes new aspects to evolve the series. This time around, the game will be less linear as branching paths will open up within levels to let the player decide where and how to advance through the game. Doing so will allow players to choose what tasks they want to accomplish rather than being stuck on one and slowing down their advancement. Pitfall Harry will have access to various tools such as a sling, dynamite, and ice axes to aid him in his quest across numerous terrains. He will also be able to learn new abilities such as a quickdash and numerous combat maneuvers. Players will have an additional depth of control over these tools and moves with the utilization of the right analog stick. Pitfall: The Lost Expedition is set for a Winter 2004 release on the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox and Game Boy Advance. We've got our hands on a preview copy and should have some impressions up shortly. Until then, check out these new screenshots from all three console versions. PlayStation 2 GameCube Xbox
