Steve Wiebe of Redmond, Washington has entered the record books for Donkey Kong. Leaving previous high-scorers in the dust, Wiebe spent over two hours playing Donkey Kong to achieve 947,200 points. His record will be noted in the upcoming edition of Twin Galaxies' Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records.

“Donkey Kong was one of the top three most hotly contested titles in arcade history, the other two being Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man," says Robert Mruczek, Chief Referee for Twin Galaxies.

For a complete breakdown of Wiebe’s record-breaking Donkey Kong run, check out this thread on Twin Galaxies forum.
