Companies have released some odd and interesting controllers over the years (see Sega’s dual maracas for Samba de Amigo), but we’ve never heard of a controller that prevents hand sweat. Nyko seems to see market potential with such a device, as the accessory company plans to showcase their Wireless Air Flo controller, in addition to several other peripherals, at E3 next week.
  • Air Flo EX for PlayStation 2
One of the most talked about products at last year's E3, the Air Flo controller has been redesigned with exclusive rubberized grips for improved comfort and even better airflow to end sweaty hands. The next generation Air Flo EX for Playstation 2 features an improved 8-way D-pad response and new exclusive grip design. Nyko's Air Flo EX will be available in May and will retail for $29.99.
  • Air Flo for PC
Computer gamers can play sweat-free too! Nyko's PC Air Flo controller utilizes Air Flo technology to provide PC gamers with a consistent flow of fresh air through the handgrips for more comfortable game play. The PC Air Flo controller has two speeds for customized ventilation and is powered by the computer so there is no need for batteries. Available in summer 2003, Nyko's PC Air Flo controller will retail for $24.99.
  • Travel Kit SP for Game Boy Advance SP
Perfect for gaming on the go, Nyko's Travel Kit SP is an accessory collection for Nintendo's new Game Boy Advance SP. Compact for easy storage, the Travel Kit includes a car charger and multi-functional adaptor to connect stereo headphones (included) or powered speakers. Nyko's Travel Kit will be available in June, and will retail for $19.99.
  • Remote Free for PlayStation 2
One less remote control! Nyko's Remote Free allows gamers to use an existing universal or DVD remote control to control the PlayStation 2's DVD player. With a range of up to 30 feet, the Remote Free is compatible with more than 25 popular universal DVD remotes, including Panasonic, Pioneer, Sony and Toshiba. Available in June, Nyko's Remote Free will retail for $4.99.
  • Wireless Net Extender for PlayStation 2, Xbox
Nyko's Wireless Net Extender allows online gamers to connect their Sony PlayStation 2 or Microsoft Xbox to their Broadband Internet connection without dangerous and unsightly cables running through the house. Comprised of two small black boxes, Nyko's wireless technology is easy to use, thanks to plug 'n' play technology and requires no programming or software installation. Available in June, Nyko's Wireless Net Extender works from up to 100 ft. apart and will retail for $99.99.
