Gamers first received a taste of Logitech’s headset hardware bundled with SOCOM: US Navy SEALs, the online multiplayer action game from SCEA. With several new online games scheduled for a release on the PlayStation 2 throughout 2003 and beyond, Logitech has seen it fit to release their PlayStation 2-tailored headset as a separate accessory for $39.95.

"This new retail USB headset allows these gamers the opportunity to enjoy the same high level of headset performance and compatibility with additional comfort and cosmetic features, “ said Fred Swan, Director of Marketing for Logitech's Audio and Interactive Entertainment Business Unit.

Logitech expects the headset to arrive on retail shelves later this month. EB Games lists a May 15 shipping date.
