It’s no surprise that Square and Disney are taking the release of Kingdom Hearts in the United States very seriously. To ensure quality voice acting, both companies have gone to great lengths to enlist a group of veteran actors and actresses bring the magical action RPG world to life, including Sora, voiced by Haley Joel Osment ("The Sixth Sense," "A.I. Artificial Intelligence"). The rest of the voice cast is none too shabby, either. David Gallagher ("Seventh Heaven") joins up as Riku, Hayden Panettiere ("Ally McBeal," "Remember the Titans") as Kairi, Sean Astin ("The Lord of the Rings," "Rudy"), Lance Bass (member of 'NSYNC), David Boreanaz ("Angel," "Valentine"), Mandy Moore ("A Walk to Remember," "The Princess Diaries") and Christy Romano ("Even Stevens," "Kim Possible"). Voice actors for characters in Disney films are also being tracked down to reprise their role as characters featured in the game. "With the immense success of the recent Japanese release, I am certain that Kingdom Hearts will be as well received in the U.S.," said Tetsuya Nomura, director and character designer of Kingdom Hearts. "I am confident that everyone who plays this game will have an incredible experience."
