Ensemble releases a new patch for their popular RTS expansion.

Ensemble Studios has released a new patch for Age of Empires: The Conquerors, the expansion pack to their award winning (and terribly addictive) RTS, Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings. Weighing in at a light 4.2 megs, the patch contains bug fixes, play balance changes, new custom maps, and a new 'Turbo Random Map' mode. The new mode is just like the existing random map mode, with the following changes: - To play this new Turbo style, select "Turbo Random Map" from the Game Type menu in either singleplayer or multiplayer mode.
- In this mode, all buildings work 2.5 times faster except when building econ units (fishing boats, trade ships & carts, villagers).
- All econ units gather 2.5 times faster and carry 2.5 times as many resources.
- All trade units work 2.0 times faster.
- Villagers construct buildings 2.5 times faster except for castles, towers, & wonders.
