TGS: Samba de Amigo 2000 Announced
Not a sequel, but more of an upgrade to Sonic Team's maraca title revealed.
In addition to the Autumn Tokyo Game Show, the JAMMA Show, an arcade-centered expo, has had Sega and Sonic Team revealing the follow-up to their hit musical maraca title, Samba de Amigo. More of an update than anything else, Samba de Amigo version 2000, from what we can tell, seems to add new music and an extra gameplay element. In the previous game there were points where the game asked for you to stand still in a single position, but in Samba de Amigo version 2000 makes it so you sometimes have to perform a motion back and forth. Should be interesting to see what else has been implemented.

Sonic Team has released the following movie of Samba de Amigo version 2000 in action. It's low quality, but gives a good look at the game as a whole. At this point we aren’t sure if the update will arrive on the Dreamcast, but we’re willing to bet on it arriving sometime soon after the arcade release.
