After reading Gathering of Developers CEO Mike Wilson’s latest .plan update, it is hard to imagine a publisher who is more fired up about releasing the best possible games to the market. Gathering of Developers has released a stellar line up in only the past month, including Blair Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr, Blair Witch Volume 2: Legend of Coffin Rock, Heavy Metal FAKK 2 on Macintosh, 4x4 Evolution on three machine (PC, Macintosh, Dreamcast) and Rune. Looking toward the future, Gathering of Developers will release Rune for the Macintosh, Kingdom Under Fire and Blair Witch Volume 3: Elly Kedward’s Tale all in the next three weeks. And in another corner of the company is On Deck Interactive, the side of Gathering of Developers that works with up and coming independent developers. The spin off has recently released Bugdom (a PC conversion of Pangea's Macintosh title), Soul Ride (snowboarding game from Slingshot), and KISS Pinball from Wildfire (who also developed Balls of Steel for 3D Realms). And now, we leave it to the man himself, Mike Wilson, to speak... Our model of attracting and working with the best independent game developers in the world is definitely paying off, and we as a company have really grown up. I know this must seem like shameless self-pimpage... and I guess it is. But I am so freaking proud of the people I work with I am just about to burst into gibs.And... to cap it all off... we have an amazing new website that our boys have been crankin on for awhile now... and it just went live. Check it out - http://www.godgames.com - and nose around to see how this little Gathering of Developers experiment has matured. We're definitely on the way to where we want to be, and it is safe to say that a truly viable alternative has been forged for independent game developers (dying breed that they seem to be at times) to bring their babies to all you gamers without having to sell their souls (or their IP rights). I'll stop rambling now... but believe me, it's only going to get better.
