In an attempt to increase its presence in the Japanese gaming market, Infogrames Entertainment has now teamed up for a joint venture with Hudson Soft, developer of the classic Bomberman series. The new organization that has been formed has been named Infogrames Hudson K.K and is located in Tokyo, Japan. The agreement included a 70% contribution by Infogrames and a 30% contribution by Hudson Soft, totaling 66 million yen.
The two companies' objective is for the development of three titles for release starting in the summer of 2001 on the PlayStation 2, Gamecube and Game Boy Advance. The titles will be released in Japan under Infogrames Hudson K.K, and the other sides of Infogrames will handle distribution to the rest of the world.
