Virtua Quest was playable at the Nintendo E3 booth this year. The once secretive "Virtua Fighter RPG" title has turned into a kids style action game with Virtua Fighter moves. The E3 demo didn't give much insight to the game, but did let you knock a a number of bad guys around.
The battle scenario put the main character in a survival training mode where random bad guys kept spawning. The fight style, choreography, and pace was very similar to Virtua Fighter, only being performed by a kid. Combo moves were easy to pull off and not too technical. The visuals are adequate. Virtua Quest moved at 30fps and had plenty of bright colors modeled on characters and backdrops. The models themselves were simple, not overly complicated, and very family friendly.
Virtua Quest is definitely a title aimed at kids. The battle system is solid and easy to use, but it's still up in the air as to whether anybody over the age of 12 will like it. It hits this summer.
