Screens & Info Updated: 1/20/2005

The developers have offered a peek into the glamorous customization options available in Playboy: The Mansion.

The virtual Playboy Mansion is not your average house, and the items available for decorating it go above and beyond what is available in the typical simulation game. However, it is not all about showing off your earnings from the success of Playboy Magazine -- as virtual Hef, you must ensure that guests are entertained, stimulated, and comfortable in your Mansion. Sure, giant flat screen TV’s and hot tubs are great, but party attendees also may want to enrich their minds with books, or develop their physique in the gym. The more your guests’ needs are fulfilled by their surroundings, the longer they will stay.

Screens & Info Updated: 11/30/2004

ARUSH Publishing, in conjunction with Groove Games, has decided to welcome everyone back from the Thanksgiving break with new screens from Playboy: The Mansion.

"Even though winter is approaching, it’s always time for a pool party at the virtual Playboy Mansion! Hef mixes business with pleasure like no one else, and these images illustrate the many ways players can entertain guests by making a big splash in true Playboy style. The virtual Playboy Mansion’s patio, pool or hot tub may be the ideal site to secure next month’s Centerfold or celebrity interview, or to take a relationship to the next level."

Seeing the Playboy name immediately equals sex, nudity and various forms of debauchery in the minds of many. Groove Games and ARUSH Entertainment, however, seem to be puttin together a legitimate Sims-like game, which so far, seems somewhat less racy than both The Sims 2 and Singles.

Construct the Mansion - The Playboy lifestyle begins at home. Will your home be a stately manor built for entertaining or a gadget lover's paradise? As your fame and wealth increase you'll be able to add tennis courts, game houses, aviaries, even the world-famous Grotto to your estate. Just make sure to build enough bedrooms for your girlfriends.

Live the Playboy Lifestyle - What use is a stylish pad if you can't share it with hundreds of celebrity friends? Spend the afternoon poolside with a bevy of beautiful women, and then change into your finest pajamas for an evening of decadent dancing with chart toppers, industry moguls and all-star athletes. Will you watch a movie in the Theatre Room or the Playmates on the trampoline? Life can be so cruel.

Build Your Empire - Fame and fortune don't come easy. Manage a crack editorial staff, hustle celebrity interviews and mold the magazine in response to a fickle market. Are readers suddenly interested in sports? Each month you'll invite women to stay at the Mansion, manage their Playmate training and oversee their sexy photo-shoots.

Playboy: The Mansion will feature celebrity guests, such as Carmen Electra, Tom Arnold, Willa Ford, David Copperfield, Uncle Kracker, skater Rob Dyrdek, Melissa Joan Hart, Jose Canseco and the guys from Sum 41, among others, on its interactive game play roster. Much like the ultra-cool parties thrown by Hugh Hefner in real life, players will have the opportunity to host incredible parties for dozens of celebrities in Playboy: The Mansion. Each celebrity comes equipped with his/her own characteristic data, unique to the real life personality being emulated. In addition to their physical likeness, every celebrity possesses a set of moods and drives that steer their motivations and reactions in specific social situations. Even their own zodiac signs mysteriously affect the celebrity guests. Players have the opportunity to interact with these celebrities in order to build meaningful friendships, strike profitable business deals, or even stimulate a sizzling romance. "I am very excited about my cameo in this game," said internationally known actress, model, TV host and Playboy favorite Carmen Electra. "I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Hef and the incredible lifestyle he lives, and to have a virtual avatar representing me in Playboy: The Mansion is very exciting. I look forward to seeing myself at many of the incredible parties that gamers will throw in their virtual Playboy Mansions on the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC."
