A decade ago the World was at the mercy of an unknown aggressor who planted highly sophisticated Artificially Intelligent (AI) bombs all around the world. The Global Defence Network assembled an elite team to neutralize the threat: the Bomb Disposal Unit (B.D.U.). The B.D.U. team was lead by Colonel Cage and prodigy Michelle Grace. Together they created a cutting edge Virtual Reality (VR) prototype system that allowed them to defuse the entire AI network. During the diffusion of the final bomb in the network, Cage disappeared amid speculation that the VR system had malfunctioned.
Since Colonel Cage's mysterious disappearance, the world has been at peace. Until now. The world is under threat again following the discovery of a new network of bombs that share the same "intelligent" core as the ones thwarted a decade ago by the B.D.U. team. Michelle Grace, having risen through the ranks of the B.D.U., now leads the global response to this new threat. She will be responsible for training you in the latest VR system technologyt. Then it is up to you to save the world from this new reign of terror. The player has to defuse the bombs in a game of high tensions, quick wits, and fast, frantic puzzle solving. Smart Bomb is the perfect game for a quick hit of gaming fun. Each bomb is made up of a series of puzzles designed to obstruct the player from getting to the detonator - the heart of the bomb. By skillfully solving each puzzle, the player will gain more time to take on the disarming of the detonator. The puzzles take full advantage of the 3D environments possible on the new PSP. Navigation in, around, and through the bombs gives the player such a feeling of immersion that the PSP feels like a time bomb in your hands. - Level types include:
- Story - Defuse each puzzle and get to the detonator
- Arcade - Survive by defusing the bomb with a single timer
- Challenge - Defuse the bomb in the quickest time possible
- Special - Gain the high score or best time by defusing all bomb components of that type
- Wireless (WiFi) head to head action for up to 4 players! (Each player must have a copy of the game running on their PSP in order to play in this mode.)
- Timed - Compete against your friends to see who can defuse the bomb first.
- Points - Earn points for defusing the bomb first. The Player at the end of the session with the most points wins.
