 EA announced a new take on the Sims franchise called Urbz. Urbz will be the name of Sims living in an urban city location where they build cred, rep, and try to be the biggest player on the block. Urbz will be released this fall for Xbox, PS2, GC, and GBA.
Urbz can build cred at work spots like the Sushi Bar, Chop Shop, or Bootleg Fireworks. When Urbz succeed they gain power to influence other Urbz. Locals include shopping districts, downtown, subway station, and artist workshops. Players can customize Urbz with new styles and "bling" like nose rings. Urbz will support the PS2 Eye Toy peripheral to let players plant their face on an Urb character.
