Deep alien technology has been discovered in the undergrounds of PlanetSide’s worlds, taking the action of the massively multiplayer online first-person-shooter to an entirely new level. PlanetSide: Core Combat is the first expansion pack being prepared at Verant Interactive and works to add in new layers to the team-based action found in the game. PlanetSide: Core Combat adds several significant features affecting the inhabitants of the planet Auraxis, including: - Expanded game world with six new war zones
- New ancient alien technology, vehicles and weapons available to all Empires and players
- Head-to-head urban warfare in subterranean cities
- Unique alien complexes to explore and conquer
- New underground environments from volcanic lava flows to ice caverns
- Ancient technology can be used by all Empires to upgrade existing surface level facilities
Come this October, Sony Online Entertainment is allowing gamers to pick up PlanetSide: Core Combat on retail shelves or via a secure digital download.
