This morning, Microsoft pulled out it's big Xbox guns and promptly displayed to the videogame community that they can indeed gather Japanese developer support. Following on the Japanese announcements from Namco, Capcom, From Software and Tecmo, comes Sega's. Sega "officially" announced the release dates for their Japanese and US Xbox titles, and sent along some great new high resolution images. Sega GT 2002 (new screens here), Set Set Radio Future (new screens/video here and below), and Gunvalkyrie (new screens below) are all scheduled to hit Microsoft's big black 'box in the 1st Quarter, 2002. For all your Jet Set/Grind Radio audiophiles out there, Sega of America also announced that it has enlisted Grand Royal's Latch Brothers production squad to create the licensed score of original hip-hop, electronic, and rock music tracks for JSRF. The Latch Brothers are also remixing worldwide hits by Q-Tip, BS2000, and Bran Van 3000-tracks that not only match the Grand Royal aesthetic, but also suit the nature of DJ K's pirate radio show. To round out the soundtrack, Sega and Grand Royal are working together to license tracks from an eclectic range of international artists, in addition to music created by Sega's own music production studio Wave Master.
