Well, not every press release is going to be good news right? Today Atlus confirmed that Persona 5 won’t make that 2015 release date, and has now been pushed back to 2016 for both North America and Japan. I’m not entirely surprised by this, but maybe I should be considering how sure Atlus seemed a release this year would be.
Either way, it’s still coming, so that’s the silver lining here. And I doubt we’ll be lacking for things to play this holiday season too. Check out the short press release from Atlus below.

The next numbered entry of the Persona franchise will now release in Japan and the Americas in 2016.The strengths of the Persona series are compelling characters, a moving, relatable story, and a borderline obsession with minutiae – elements which can’t be rushed or taken lightly.
