Xbox One hits one million in one day

xbox-one-logoNow we have a good, old fashioned next-generation console launch fight on our hands.

A week after Sony announcing that they were able to sell over 1 million PS4 consoles in the first 24 hours, Microsoft has revealed that the Xbox has done the same. Both figures were considered sell-through (to consumers), with the obvious difference being the PS4 only launching in 2 territories, and the Xbox One launching in 13.

Once the PlayStation 4 hits Europe next week, things may change, but for now we're off to a good start all around.

Read on for the announcement with some more stats!

The team is excited to confirm the launch of Xbox One was the biggest launch in Xbox history, with more than one million consoles sold through worldwide in less than 24 hours – surpassing day one Xbox 360 sales and setting a new record for Microsoft.
