Konami launches new website for Birds of Steel

Brand new online portal celebrates the inner pilot in all of us.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., in conjunction with Gaijin Entertainment, today announced the brand new website for Birds of Steel, the authentic WWII air-combat simulator game, coming to XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3 in early 2012.

The new website, www.birdsofsteel.com, serves as the gateway to all of the latest news for the anticipated flight simulator. Users will be able to watch trailers, view the latest screenshots and interact in a community built for budding pilots. There’s an online game forum for players to discuss strategies and tactics amongst each other as well as connectivity to the Birds of Steel community on Facebook and in addition, users can get a sneak peak from the development team with exclusive content created for the Birds of Steel community.

The authentic WWII military air combat simulator drops players across the world, engaging in some of the most storied missions from this century. Birds of Steel depicts many of the war’s most important air battles including the battles of Midway, Guadalcanal, and the Coral Sea, the Siege of Malta, and the attack on Pearl Harbor?letting players experience unique, immersive combat flight both in single campaigns and in multiplayer game play. With 100 different planes, complex missions and the weight of the world on their shoulders, players will battle through the most authentic military air-combat experience ever.

Birds of Steel is pending ESRB rating and is scheduled for release in early 2012.
